Accessing EarthScope Data

The IRIS DMC announces the arrival of new EarthScope data.

PBO

The Plate Boundary Observatory (PBO) component of EarthScope is a geodetic observatory designed to study the three-dimensional strain field resulting from deformation across the active boundary zone between the Pacific and North American plates in the western United States. For information about the PBO data seismic data handling at the DMC, refer to http://ds.iris.edu/earthscope/pbo/

SAFOD

The San Andreas Fault Observatory at Depth (SAFOD) is a deep borehole observatory that will directly measure the physical conditions under which plate boundary earthquakes occur. The SAFOD site is located in the Parkfield region of northern California. To get updated information regarding SAFOD seismic data at the DMC, refer to http://ds.iris.edu/earthscope/safod/

USArray

The IRIS DMC is the final archive and distribution point for all raw USArray data from each sub-component: Transportable Array, Backbone and Flexible Array. For updated information regarding USArray seismic data at the DMC, refer to http://ds.iris.edu/earthscope/usarray/
